Architectural Theory: The Ten Books of Alberti Architecture
Leon Battista Alberti
Architecture: Ten Books of Alberti Architecture, written by Leon Batista Alberti 1404-1472), is the first modern treatise on the theory and practice of architecture. Its importance to later architectural history is immeasurable, but Rickwater’s translation was also the first English translation based on the original, brilliant, and persuasive pulling of the text, on which Alberti’s reputation as a theorist was built.
